Anti-gay bill brought back to Ugandan parliament

An MP who first tried to introduce anti-gay legislation carrying the death penalty for some homosexual acts reintroduced the bill yesterday, raising concerns among rights activists who have been fighting it.

Though widely supported in Uganda, the progress of David Bahati's bill has been slowed by an international outcry against the measure, including condemnation from the US President, Barack Obama.
