Egypt outlaws discrimination after 26 are killed in inter-faith fighting

Egypt's transitional military rulers have issued a decree prohibiting all forms of discrimination, including on the basis of religion.

Earlier this month, street battles between Muslim and Coptic Christian communities resulted in 26 deaths in Cairo , the worst bloodshed since the Arab Spring revolution in February. Protection for religious minorities was one of the main demands of the anti-Mubarak protest movement.
