Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius appears in court today for a bail hearing in his trial for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steinkamp.
He arrived at Pretoria Magistrates' Court earlier this morning amid a media frenzy as around 200 journalists vied for 26 spaces inside.
The Independent's Africa correspondent is among the selected reporters inside the courtroom, and one of only a couple from the UK.
He is live-tweeting the proceedings.
