Mediators fly in to Guinea-Bissau after military coup

West African regional mediators headed to Guinea-Bissau for talks yesterday following last week's coup.

The military leaders who seized power in the tiny former Portuguese colony last week said they were forming a transitional government. This would include some opposition parties, but not the ruling party.
