Hundreds of people have been arrested after deadly protests in opposition strongholds over President Goodluck Jonathan's weekend election victory.
At least 80 people have been killed in major cities alone and thousands displaced by the violence. Mr Jonathan's rival, a northerner and ex-military ruler, Muhammadu Buhari, said Saturday's poll was rigged.
Supporters of the ruling party have been stabbed, hacked and shot dead by youths; churches, homes and mosques have been set on fire.
