Aids scare
German authorities were scouring hospitals for HIV-contaminated blood after it became clear that patients across the country could be at risk of contracting Aids, Reuter reports from Bonn. Police arrested a doctor and a laboratory worker after blood products had been distributed to hospitals in Germany and abroad without being screened for the HIV virus.
