A bride-to-be and her fiance's best man are missing after a boat crash on New York's Hudson River.

Lindsay Stewart, 30, of Piermont, is due to marry in two weeks. Her fiance, Brian Bond, 35, was knocked unconscious, and his best man Mark Lennon is also missing. Four others were also injured.

After a three-hour search last night, the two were still missing.

ABC reported that the group was cruising the Hudson on a 21-foot Stingray boat.

Around 10.30 last night, the powerboat struck a barge near the Tappan Zee Bridge, around 25 miles north of New York City.

Stewart's mother told ABC: "She's supposed to be married two weeks from today. It just can't end like this."

Searches for the two missing people resumed once the tide allowed at 9am today.
