Britons jailed for smuggling cocaine
Suzanne Georgina O'Donald, 32, from Worcester, and Sally-Ann Martin, 31, from Birmingham, were also each fined 250,000 Barbadian dollars (£85,000). If they cannot pay, they will have to serve three more years.
Ms Martin and Ms O'Donald were arrested at Barbados airport on Tuesday when police found eight wine bottles filled with a total of eight litres of liquefied cocaine in their luggage. The cocaine was worth about 480,000 Barbadian dollars.
The women had stopped off in Barbados on their way from Saint Vincent to London.
Both pleaded guilty to charges of possession, trafficking, intent to supply and intent to import cocaine.
