Hillary Clinton held her first official presidential rally on New York's Roosevelt Island, bringing out supporters from all over the spectrum to celebrate her presidential campaign.

Crowds funneled onto the island - just one stop from Manhattan on the subway - to attend the rally, which featured a live band, a drum line and much fanfare.

Here are some of the sights and sounds - before Mrs Clinton even took the stage - from the first rally of what figures to be many for the Democratic front-runner.
