An elderly man has admitted strangling his wife in their suburban Philadelphia apartment after he accused her of infidelity and she laughed at him.

Rudi Koos, 80, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, after admitting he killed his 75-year-old wife, Waltrud, in January. Defence attorney Frank Genovese said his client was remorseful and just snapped when he thought his wife of 59 years was cheating on him.
