Chris Norton was paralysed in 2010 while playing college football and was given a three per cent chance to ever move again below his neck.

But last week the business management major beat those odds and walked on stage to collect his diploma.

Cheered on by his peers and joined on-stage by his fiancée it was a proud moment for the 22-year old who underwent a year of intense rehabilitation consisting of six hours of physiotherapy a day.

Norton and his father have documented the rehabilitation process in a book, The Power Of Faith When Tragedy Strikes, which will be released this summer.

Norton says his next challenge will be to walk down the aisle at his wedding.
