Police Helicopter films 'fight club'

Video footage shows a police helicopter catching and intercepting an alleged ‘fight club’ meeting in Florida.

The clip shows two men involved in physical violence while four others stand around watching.

The incident reportedly happened over the last few weeks in the car park of a Winn-Dixie grocery store in Orlando, Florida.

According to Florida news site WESH, the incident involved an alleged ‘fight club’ — a term made famous by the 1999 film starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in which the central characters organise a club for individuals to fight each other recreationally.

The fight can be seen in the video footage from the helicopter, the individuals concerned seem unaware the helicopter is watching them.

However, police officers soon arrived on the ground and the group dispersed.

A voiceover on the video can be heard saying: “They’re scattering, splitting up and one’s running… tell me which one you want and I’ll follow them.”

WESH report that all of the men at the scene were taken into custody but only the two men fighting were arrested.

The men in question were 18 and 21, says Live Leak.

According to police deputies the pair could face charges for the public fight and resisting arrest.

Earlier this week it was reported that a new website is being released where “recreational fighters can find, meet and fight other brawl enthusiasts nearby”.

The website, ‘Rumblr’, has been dubbed the ‘tinder for fighting’; some are speculating whether the website will genuinely exist, given the nature of its purpose.
