Detectives are searching for a caretaker after a British woman was found murdered at the bottom of a cesspit in Jamaica.
Retired nurse Barbara Scott-Jones, 61, was discovered in Somerton, St James, yesterday, with broken teeth and wounds to her head, including a fractured skull. Police are hunting for Omar Reid, 30, who the family say was helping Ms Scott-Jones renovate her holiday home near Montego Bay. He has not been seen since she went missing eight days ago.
Constable Craig Sterling, of St James police, said: "He is her caretaker. We're not sure how close a relationship they had, but he is being sought at the moment."
Ms Scott-Jones's daughter Salina and ex-husband Charles Jones flew to the Caribbean last week. Salina said: "Mum was a wonderful selfless woman who had given most of her life to others. It is a tragic loss we will never recover from."
