Florida Police have released footage of a hit-and-run that took place last week in an attempt to catch the two suspects involved.

Last Friday, local officers responded to a call concerning a verbal disturbance where they discovered 53-year-old, Tracy Leavitt, lying in the street with injuries consistent of being hit with a vehicle, according to a post on Helmet Police Department’s Facebook page.

Video of the incident shows Leavitt involved in an argument before it escalates with one of the suspects stealing h car and running him over with it.

Both suspects fled the scene in a white pick-up truck; and according to KTLA have been described as ‘White or light-skinned Hispanic men, between the ages of 18 and 25, about 5 foot 10 inches tall, with thin builds and brown hair’.

Leavitt is set to have a hip replacement, leg and knee surgery – which his family are funding using a crowd funding website.
