Three teenage boys have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping, robbing and raping a woman in a five-hour ordeal on Christmas day.
The incident took place in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania when a woman came out of a bar for a cigarette.
As she sat playing with her mobile phone while waiting for her boyfriend to join her, the three teenagers allegedly forced their way into her vehicle.
Brandishing a replica gun, Brehon Rawlings, 19, Kewon Matthews, 17, and Kevin Jones,17 are said to have forced her into the back seat of the Jeep Cherokee and taken it in turns to force her to perform sex acts on them while driving around Philadelphia for around five hours.
The rapes reportedly continued despite the woman repeatedly vomiting on her captors and begging them to stop, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
The teenagers are alleged to have stolen the woman’s wallet, car stereo, phone, camera, GPS, ruby ring, diamond necklace, bracelet, insurance and registration paperwork and a Coach handbag in the incident.
As they were going through her items, they learned that she had a two-year-old daughter and apparently threatened to harm the woman or the girl unless she did as they said.
Once the ordeal came to an end, the teenagers parked the car, threw her keys beneath it and ran, police said.
The woman waited for several minutes before grabbing her keys and driving to her boyfriend's house. The pair went to the police station together shortly after.
Police tracked down the alleged attackers less than an hour later after being called to an Upper Darby home to respond to a disturbance.
A woman had called 911 saying a teenager staying over at her house with her son was bragging about having a gun.
When officers arrived they spotted a Coach handbag which matched the description of that stolen from the victim.
They found four teenagers at the home - the woman's two sons and Kevin Jones, who was staying with the family to attend school. The fourth teen, Kewon Matthews, said he was a friend of Jones.
The woman who called police confirmed that the Coach bag was not hers, and police discovered the victim’s identification inside.
The victim was then taken her to the home and she identified Jones and Matthews as two of her attackers.
The third suspect was later identified as Brehon Rawlings, who was found hiding in the bathtub of his home.
'These guys are truly, truly animals,' Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said. 'This was a sadistic crime, the kind of crime that shakes up the human consciousness.'
After the ordeal, the victim was taken to hospital to be examined. She was treated for minor head injuries after being hit with the gun.
The three men were arraigned yesterday on 42 criminal charges, including rape, kidnapping, robbery, carjacking and theft. They were all charged as adults.
Bail was set at $500,000 cash for each and a preliminary hearing will be held December 31.Reuse content
