Surveillance footage shows Roger Stone arrested by FBI while wearing t-shirt stating he 'did nothing wrong'

Newly surfaced footage of former Donald Trump aide Roger Stone getting arrested shows the political strategist was wearing a shirt that claimed his innocence at the time.

Mr Stone was arrested last month on charges stemming from special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, and the new footage shows him wearing a shirt that says “Roger Stone did nothing wrong”.

Since his arrest, Mr Stone has pleaded not guilty to the charges he faces including obstruction, witness tampering, and making false statements.

Mr Stone has been critical of the manner in which he was arrested, and his lawyer has argued he would have voluntarily turned himself in if the FBI had chosen that route instead of the pre-dawn raid on his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“I opened the door and in my front yard, I was staring down the barrel of two assault weapons and I saw a dozen other FBI agents in the background, all wearing night goggles, full SWAT gear, sidearms, and so on. On the ground was a large metal device used to break down a door, which was unnecessary,” Mr Stone said in an interview with Sinclair Broadcast Group.

The arrest marked the latest charges filed against a member of the president’s campaign or inner circle.

Before Mr Stone’s indictments, federal prosecutors had filed high-profile charges including those against Mr Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
