Missing any form of transport is often followed by expletives, clenched fists and frustration.

However, one Canadian woman took her anger to new extremes, when she missed a ferry on New Year’s Eve, causing a bizarre, very public meltdown.

Filmed at the Victoria ferry station in British Columbia, the disgruntled woman, who has yet to be identified, was captured screaming and squealing in front of bemused staff and fellow travellers.

According to eyewitnesses, the woman had become angry after staff refused to allow her to board the ferry.

In the video, the woman can be seen having an increasingly tense conversation with the person behind the desk, who appears to be telling her that she should calm down.

The woman’s voice gets louder as she tells the member of staff, “It's New Year's Eve for heaven's sake. You have no understanding about people's feelings and what this means.”

She is then seen marching away from the desk shouting "I am so mad!" before her voice becomes inaudible. As she reaches the exit, she stomps on the ground repeatedly, yelling "You have no idea what this means to people".
