Villagers are mourning nine members of a wedding party killed by gunmen in the remote east of Afghanistan.
The attackers entered a field in Dur Baba district where the wedding party had gathered at night and opened fire. The killers then set a house and car on fire and escaped. The groom was among the dead.
Officials said the groom's cousin is the chief administrator for the district, suggesting that the attack may have been a Taliban-planned strike against the family.
