CCTV captures dramatic tunnel crash after SUV causes lorry to flip in China
No-one was reportedly hurt in the dramatic footage
Footage has captured the moments of a dramatic crash between a lorry and a car in a tunnel in China.
The crash in Tongren city, eastern Guizhou province, unfolds after a speeding four-by-four vehicle attempts to overtake the heavily-laden lorry in the narrow tunnel.
The driver of the SUV loses control of his car, sending it crashing into the lorry – which is carrying tractors – as both vehicles smash against the wall of the tunnel in an explosion of concrete.
In the scrum, the lorry is flipped onto its side and the contents of its load can be seen spilling out over the road. Meanwhile, the car is crumpled against both the wall and underneath the heavier vehicle.
Astoundingly, local Chinese media claim that no-one was injured in the collision.
The crash was captured by a number of CCTV cameras in the tunnel, although it remains unclear when the collision occurred.
