Two women were killed by bears that escaped from their enclosure at a Japanese park yesterday.
Police said the two staff members were feeding six bears in Hachimantai park in Akita when the animals climbed up a large snowdrift and over the fence.
Another worker escaped and called the police who found the women's bodies. Hunters later killed all six escaped bears.
