Two Pakistani air force planes crashed on a training mission in the country's north west today, killing all four pilots, police said.
The planes crashed in Nowshera, with at least one of them landing in a residential area, according to the city's police chief Mohammad Hussain.
At least five people on the ground were injured in the incident, police official Fazil Khan said.
He added that local residents reported that the two planes collided before they crashed, and the air force is investigating.
The planes had taken off from a Pakistani air force academy in nearby Risalpur.
