Athens-Tirana tension eases
ATHENS (Reuter) - Greece and Albania yesterday called a halt to retaliatory diplomatic expulsions until their foreign ministers meet next month, easing a row between the Balkan neighbours.
A Greek spokesman, Evangelos Venizelos, said Athens decided to defer a decision to expel an Albanian diplomat after Tirana's decision to reconsider cutting Greek embassy staff from 10 to six. For its part, Albania confirmed it would put the expulsion of Greek diplomats on hold.
