Hundreds of dogs and their owners yesterday attended a concert specifically designed for canines, organised at the Sydney Opera House by the performance artist Laurie Anderson.

The music, which included whale calls and sounds too high for the human ear, was performed live by Anderson, and received an enthusiastic response from the audience. The concert was part of Sydney's Vivid festival, curated by Anderson with her husband Lou Reed.
