Australia to jail sex tourists
Australian tourists who commit sex crimes on children overseas will face up to 17 years in jail when they get home under legislation introduced in parliament yesterday, Reuter reports from Canberra. Thousands of Australians are believed to travel each year to Asia, especially the Philippines and Thailand, to exploit children forced into prostitution by poverty.
