SEVASTOPOL - An infantry unit from the Black Sea fleet seized a military-police building in Sevastopol without resistance, AFP reports.

The Sevastopol unit had sworn allegiance to Kiev in the absence of the Russian admiral, Igor Kassatonov.

Upon his return from St Petersburg, Admiral Kassatonov, the Ukrainian presidential representative, Ivan Ermakov, and General Vladimir Romanenko accused the chief of military police, Vladimir Zveriel, of 'treason'.
