JOHANNESBURG (Reuter) - The Zulu leader, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, sought to rally black opposition against Nelson Mandela yesterday by meeting Lucas Mangope of Bophuthatswana and Brigadier Oupa Gqozo of Ciskei, two other 'homeland' leaders who oppose Mr Mandela's African National Congress.

Commentators said it was feared a separatist front might emerge, with some 'homeland' leaders finding common cause with the white right-wing Conservative Party. Chief Buthelezi cancelled a meeting yesterday with President F W de Klerk, at which Mr de Klerk was to have briefed the chief on his summit with Mr Mandela.
