Cambodia's new elected assembly yesterday approved a power- sharing interim government - ending the 14-year tenure of the administration installed by Vietnam, Reuter reports from Phnom Penh. 'This is truly a democratic country,' said the royalist party leader, Prince Norodom Ranariddh. The outgoing prime minister, Hun Sen, voted for the interim government, of which he is co-president with the prince, his former enemy.
