Chernobyl ruling
Ukraine ruled out closure of the Chernobyl nuclear power station despite a series of accidents and fresh calls from German and French experts for the plant to be shut down, AFP reports from Vienna. 'There are no plans for the immediate closure of the two units' still functioning at Chernobyl, said Valery Shmarov, the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister.
