China ancient and modern
Archaeologists have found remains at the heart of Peking which show that people lived 20,000 years ago on the site where an office tower is to be built, a Chinese newspaper reported.
The remains were discovered on 28 December at the construction site for the Oriental Plaza tower, near Tiananmen Square.
