Clinton eases sanctions on Taiwan

Chicago - President Bill Clinton lifted certain trade sanctions against Taiwan saying that Taipei had made "substantial steps" in stopping sales of rhinoceros and tiger parts and products. The US had imposed a ban on fish and wildlife imports in response to an international call for increased protection of tigers and rhinos. AFP
