Clinton's pledge on Lockerbie

President Bill Clinton broke ground on a memorial to commemorate the victims of the Lockerbie bombing and said the United States would not rest until the case was closed, Reuter reports from Washington.

Mr Clinton made the pledge at a ceremony in Arlington National Cemetery in memory of the 270 victims of the bombing of the Pan Am flight over Scotland five years ago. He told families and friends: 'Our nation will never stop from pursuing justice against those who caused it, for the attack on Pan Am 103 was an attack not only on the individuals of 21 nations who were aboard the aircraft, it was an attack on America.'
