Colombian air force chief dismissed

MEDELLIN (AP) - The head of Colombia's air force was fired yesterday for being too slow in flying troops in to search for Escobar. The warden of Escobar's prison was also fired.

And, as soldiers guarded cabinet ministers, the commander of troops at the prison was sacked for refusing to enter the jail with three government officials who were taken hostage before Escobar escaped on Wednesday.
