Suspected Corsican separatists blew up three homes belonging to pensioners from the French mainland overnight, police said yesterday, Reuter reports from Ajaccio.

The incidents, in which no one was injured, bore the hallmarks of separatist guerrillas who regularly attack holiday homes belonging to citizens from the mainland in protest at what they say is the colonisation of the island through tourism.
