Crowds of chador-clad women gathering in Azadi square, Tehran, yesterday to celebrate the anniversary of the toppling of the monarchy by the late Ayatollah Khomeini's revolution in 1979. President Rafsanjani was quoted as saying 30 million people took part in nationwide celebrations.
