Border deal

Dubai (Reuter) - Qatar announced that it signed a deal in the Muslim holy city of Medina yesterday to settle its border dispute with Saudi Arabia.

The Qatari News Agency said the deal was signed by the foreign ministers of the two countries and witnessed by the Egyptian foreign minister. The agency said it was signed in the presence of King Fahd of Saudi Arabia, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al- Thaniebut, and Egypt's President, Hosni Mubarak.
