Bubbly ballots
An enterprising candidate for the new Russian parliament is offering voters discount bubbly in exchange for their ballot in the 12 December elections, AP reports from Moscow. Yuri Tyulin, a candidate for the Dignity and Charity bloc, is tempting voters in the Tver region north-west of Moscow with a 1,000-rouble (55p) markdown on 1 million bottles of sparkling wine.
