Cable-car rescue

ROME (Reuter) - Firemen rescued 24 people who were stranded when a cable car fell from its overhead wires and killed a man on the slopes of Mont Blanc yesterday. The victim, Francesco Condolucci, 40, was a cable-car operator travelling in an empty cabin that crashed from its wires, firemen from the mountain town of Courmayeur said.
