Freshly made forgeries of eight art works turned up on the steps of the Modern Museum, a week after the originals were taken in a robbery that was a carbon copy of the classic 1950s French film, Rififi, Reuter reports from Stockholm. Seven paintings and a sculpture by Picasso and Braque, estimated to be worth at least pounds 40m, were stolen a week ago from the museum in a daring raid.
