ISTANBUL - The 15 January deadline set by the Islamic world for UN action over Bosnia passed yesterday with no action but plenty of harsh words about Western double standards in bombing Iraq and not the Serbs, writes Hugh Pope.
'We hope the same operation against Iraq will be done in Bosnia. The situation in Bosnia is maybe 10 times worse than in Iraq,' said a cabinet statement in Turkey, which has taken the lead in organising Islamic protests.
