Isis has released a video calling on its members to carry out jihad in Russia.

"Listen Putin, we will come to Russia and will kill you at your homes," a masked man driving a car in the desert yells during the video.

"Oh Brothers, carry out jihad and kill and fight them," he adds.

The subtitled video showed footage of armed men attacking armoured vehicles and tents and collecting arms in the desert.

"Breaking into a barrack of the Rejectionist military on the international road south Akashat," one subtitle read.

It was not immediately possible to independently verify the video, but the link to the footage was shared on a Telegram messaging account used by the militant group.

Isis has called on its supporters to carry out attacks against countries it has been fighting using any weapons available.

France attack suspects pledge loyalty to Isis

Russia and the US are talking about boosting military and intelligence cooperation against Isis and al-Qaeda in Syria.

There has been a string of deadly attacks claimed by Isis in Europe over the past weeks.

Last week, attackers loyal to Isis forced an elderly Catholic priest in France to his knees before slitting his throat.

Since the mass killing in Nice on 14 July, there have been four attacks in Germany, including the most recent suicide bombing at a concert in Ansbach.
