Tokyo (AFP) - Japan will spend 100bn yen ( pounds 660m) over the next 10 years in Asian countries which suffered from Japan's wartime aggression, the Prime Minister, Tomiichi Murayama, announced. He said Japan's actions in the past 'left the peoples of neighbouring Asia and elsewhere with scars that are painful even today'.
