Residents of the Belgian town of Liège took part in an official memorial service yesterday, remembering the victims of last week's grenade and gun attack at a Christmas market. An official silence had been held late last week.

Five people were killed and almost 130 injured when gun collector and convicted drug dealer Nordine Amrani opened fire on shoppers last Tuesday.

The body of a woman was also found at Amrani's home soon after his arrest.
