Los Angeles gripped by post-quake fears
With rain and cold forecast, Los Angeles authorities made efforts to find shelter for the tens of thousands of people driven from their homes by the southern California earthquake that killed 47 people, AP reports from Los Angeles. President Clinton gave California dollars 100m ( pounds 67m) for earthquake repair in addition to the dollars 140m aid for victims.
