Alexander Solzhenitsyn began a long cross-country journey on a trans-Siberian train that will take him from Vladivostok to Moscow, where he will settle after a 20-year absence, AFP reports from Vladivostok. The first stop for Solzhenitsyn, his wife Natalia and sons will be Kabarovsk, about 500 miles north-west of Vladivostok.
