Refuge blaze
A home for Kurdish refugees in Waldshut, in Baden- Wurttemberg state, was destroyed by fire on Saturday, Reuter reports from Stuttgart. None of the 14 asylum-seekers living there was injured. In the eastern town of Potsdam, tombstones in a cemetery for Russian soldiers who died in the Second World War were uprooted and Nazi symbols scrawled on a monument.
