BUCHAREST (Reuter) - A hardliner was re-elected yesterday as leader of Romania's main nationalist party during a congress which urged an anti-Hungarian crackdown and minimised the role of foreign capital in the country.

Corneliu Vadim Tudor, 42, a burly poet who often publishes strongly anti-Semitic and xenophobic views, was re-elected unanimously as president of the Greater Romania Party. The party won seats in parliament through the ballot box for the first time in general elections held last September.
