Spanish police arrest nine suspected members of group linked to bin Laden
Spanish police have arrested nine members of a group called 'Mujahedeen Movement' linked to Osama Bin Laden, Interior Minister Mariano Rajoy said Tuesday.
In an unscheduled press conference in this southern city, Rajoy said the arrests followed investigations over the past two years. He said initial reports indicated most of those arrested were from Tunisia and Algeria.
There were no immediate details on when or where the arrests took place.
On Sept. 26 , Spanish police arrested six Algerians on charges of belonging to an armed group allegedly financed by Bin Laden.
