Spanish police solve case of the bent contortionist

A contortionist who hid inside a suitcase in an airport bus's baggage compartment and sneaked out to steal from other people's luggage has been arrested by police in Spain.

Standing 5ft 10in (1.78 metres) tall and very thin, the man would be placed inside the baggage hold by an accomplice, who then boarded the bus, to retrieve the contortionist at the end of the line.

During the 60-mile ride, the man would slip out of the suitcase and pick locks or open zips to search passengers' luggage, said police alerted to the scam when items were reported missing.
