Eye-gouging verdict

DALLAS - Myra Obasi said she was possessed by a demon when her eyeballs were gouged out of their sockets and left in a wastebin. But a jury last week said the devil didn't do it, her sisters did. Doretha Crawford and Beverly Johnson were convicted of aggravated assault. A woman had testified she saw the sisters pummel and pray with an unresisting Ms Obasi. AP
