Fall-out in the diamond market
RUSSIAN CONMEN may have sold radioactive gems on the black market. Belgian authorities said they offered black diamonds to the official Antwerp exchange but the stones were found to be fakes. It was feared they had been artificially blackened by subjecting them to radioactive rays, probably in a Russian nuclear plant.
